Is there a Cap on damage awards for injuries?

In Nova Scotia, there is a Cap on damages that can be received for minor injuries suffered in automobile accidents. The limit for these injuries is $2,500 and what qualifies as a minor injury is amazingly broad.

The good news is is that this Cap is currently under challenge by the Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association on constitutional grounds.
